SITE CONDITION




Located along a busy motorway, the noise level at the site can get quite high. Proper acoustic strategy should be considered,
The walkway also creates an entrance to the underground pass. Vegetation found here are not being maintained and creates an unsightly scene.
At this point, the ground level is 3.9m below the Public Hall's ground level. Direct sunlight is not received.
STRETFORD PUBLIC HALL
The selected site is located next to Stretford Public Hall, along Chester Road. Stretford is a town in Trafford, Greater Manchester, England.
The existing walkway creates an alternative link from Chester Rd to Kingsway. This area is not sheltered and is exposed to a large amount of direct sunlight.

The site is can be viewed as two areas - public and private areas. Located at the back of Stretford Public Hall is Davis Court, an amenity house that is age exclusive. The front half of the site consists of Stretford Public Hall and the pathway to the underground pass.

Located next to a cross junction is beneficial the site due to the availability of direct sunlight into the space. This will allows a sufficient amount of sunlight entering the building and at the same time, having a noticeable position to the vehicles passing by.
